Tools to measure your social media activities: #1 Klout

Social networking to promote your online presence can at times feel like a thankless task. If you're using Twitter, Facebook, Google+ or any other of the social networking platforms, its important to understand that ploughing endless hours into updates does not necessarily guarantee you a return on your time. However, there are a number of free online tools that can help you measure the success and reach of your social media, and in turn assist you to deliver the right message, at the right time and to the right audience.

Here at Tarset Epic Design we're going to review these tools for you, we start with Klout:

Described as the standard for influence Klout connects your Twitter, Facebook and Google+ accounts and provides you with an aggregated profile of all of your accounts. Easy to read charts and statistics plotted daily illustrate your network influence, amplification probability and importantly your true reach. It even goes further and details individuals that you influence and particular topics that you are influential about. All of which allows you to monitor your social activities on a daily basis, which you can then respond to should you need to. For those looking for more detailed analysis this may not be the tool for you, but for most of you it certainly serves as a quickly accessible tool to get you started. Klout have also recently included many other networks that you can connect including: LinkedIn, Foursquare, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Blogger, Last.fm and Flickr.
